She may also react with a smile or laugh when she hears Taylor's baby sounds.

Playing with this toy

Place Taylor so he faces your baby. Periodically press on his back to make him giggle or coo.
Periodically place Taylor at arm's length to encourage your baby to reach out and touch him.

Baby enjoys hearing Taylor's baby-like sounds, and will "talk" back or laugh with the doll.
Baby will crawl towards Taylor to seek him out, and may turn him into a transitional object – a "security blanket" of sorts for times of stress.

Playing with this toy

Place Taylor so he faces your baby. Periodically press on his back to make him “talk” or make a sound.
Periodically change Taylor’s shape or position, to maintain your baby's interest and fresh approach.
At the early crawling stages, place Taylor facing your baby while she is in the prone position, a short distance from him, to encourage her to crawl to reach the doll.
Cover the butterfly or ladybug on Taylor's body and ask the baby: "Where is butterfly?". Play peek-a-boo.

The toddler creates her own version of Taylor, contorting his shape and position to suit her play. She may stand Taylor up on his feet, or lower or raise his head.
She speaks to the doll, and shows it affection – limited only by her imagination.

Point out Taylor's different body parts to your baby and name them.
Make Taylor make a sound and show your baby how to elicit the sound herself.
Encourage your baby to reshape and change Taylor's shape and position.
Encourage imaginative play and emotional expression. For example, play with Taylor yourself and encourage your baby to react.
