Baby holds the phone, examines it with her hands and mouth, and feels the various textures.
She presses the buttons to hear the realistic sounds. At about the age of nine months, she will begin to put the phone to her ear, mimicking her parents or caregivers.
Playing with this toy
Tie the phone to your baby’s crib, stroller bar, or the Tiny Love
®
Super Car-Bar™ so that she can encounter the toy in different places.
Press the sound buttons for your baby so that she can see the toy’s possibilities.
When she puts the phone to her ear, verbalize the action: “Are you talking on the phone?”, “Hello, Hello” and so on.
Baby gains better control of her hands and manages to use the phone easily..
She enjoys making the real-like sounds and talking on the phone like her parents or caregivers.
She begins noticing colors and shapes and discovers the colorful shapes on the buttons.
Playing with this toy
Show your toddler the shapes and colors on the buttons (either the shapes or the colors, since toddlers find it difficult to grasp two dimensions of the same stimulus, for example a red circle).
When she puts the phone to her ear, join her in the game and hold an imaginary conversation with her.
